MORE ABOUT MATT

Matt's love for the faith has taken him (and his family) on quite an adventure. He left seminary to pursue his MA at Franciscan University. After that, he met his wife, Stacy, on a traveling vacation bible school known as Totus Tuus. 

Soon after marrying, Matt and Stacy moved to Washington, DC for Matt's doctoral program at The Catholic University of America. From there, the family moved back to Iowa where Matt became the Executive Director of the adult faith formation institute, the St. Joseph Evangelization Center and currently is working as a National Catholic Consultant for William H. Sadlier, Inc, dioceses, and parishes. Matt and Stacy have been married since 2007 and have 6 beautiful children.

Feeling called to share his gifts of teaching and preaching in a new way, Matt discerned the diaconate and entered formation and 2015. He was ordained in 2018 and currently serves as a deacon at St. Luke's Parish in Ankeny, Iowa.

When he is not working, ministering, or helping to lead his family, Matt enjoys playing golf, exercising, and reading and writing.

Both Matt and Stacy feel called to share their journeys of faith with the world through their family ministry called Jump In Catholic Family Ministry: Helping families jump in to the river of the Holy Spirit.
